Armoire open...

Armoire closed...

God's Little Blessings. I've been needing something to store some of my extra stuff.... in. Actually my child evangelism and scrapbooking and pens, pencils, and just teaching stuff. I have a lot :) lol anyway, this is my new storage container. It's quite large and heavy, but very beautiful! I'm so thankful that everything worked out and that it is now mine! YAY. As you can see, it is already quite full :)

Just a Little Question....

Hey, I'm just kinda wondering if anyone out there in blogsphere actually reads my posts, soo, if you do, could you kindly leave a comment? I would greatly appreciate it :) I think I would feel silly if I knew I was simply writing and writing away with noone caring :) Thanks!

School....

Goodness, It's been a loooonnggg hhhhoooootttt summer! Crazy!!!! Have I ever mentioned that I totally utterly dislike summer? This is has been a crazy one as well. While some things have happened I really dislike (finding out I'm lactose intolerant), other things have happened that I like :) (losing weight because of my change of diet). Needless to say, it's been an interesting summer! I'm rather excited about some other things as well. I'm teaching classes that are actually what I trained for! Surprise:) College - Child Evangelism and Music History. Ahhh.. Two of my loves, I'm having a blast. I also get to teach the elementary music classes/not Christmas program tho, I have the adult to deal with :)/ and elementary chapel. I am so excited about the chapel this year. We have had an amazing time so far. God has really been helping me, and I hope He is speaking thru me. We are donating our offering to the Operation Christmas Child shoebox project. We are hoping to ship 150 from the school.... We will see. That's a lot of boxes. At least 130. I'll set my aim a little lower! Anyway, These are just a few thoughts from the jumble of my brain. I probably need to go to bed, I do have to teach sometime tomorrow, and then the chiropracter, and then library for work... hmmm. oh and a wedding this weekend to attend, and one the next weekend. My friends are simply getting married too close together! I have shopping to do.. Ahh! :) So much is my tangled brain. Anyway, talk to you all later :) Hope this made a little sense : /

Scars in the Road.

Tonight as I rode over the roads on my way home from camp, we passed over some white scars in the road. To an ordinary traveler, they may go unnoticed, but to me they were the signs left from a tragedy that happened only yesterday. A young boy was headed home from youth camp and was involved in a fatal accident. He was driving, went off the road and over-corrected sending him into the path of an oncoming truck. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Many of his friends and family were only a few miles behind him and came upon the accident. He was a High School student at the school that I teach at, a patron where I worked at, and a good friend of some of my friends. I remember the students that I taught last year always running up to give Jordan a hug, and now he is gone. His parents have lost a son, his sister a brother, and a multitude of people have lost a beloved friend. Pray for his family, pray for friends, and pray for the entire group of young people that had just said bye to him as they parted ways to go home from camp, not knowing that it was last time they would ever see him again. It is a hard burden to bear. But for those of you who are praying, pray that this will wake people up. Help them to realize afresh and anew that life is so fragile, and so valuable. Let us also pray that when we ourselves leave this earth, our life, like Jordan's life, will be remembered by many people, for more than simply scars in the road.

Beach Day!

Sam and I in the Lantern Room of the Lighthouse!

Sam in the stairwell... it was a little tight!

In a lighthouse!!!!

Here it is! Indiana's Claim to Lighthouse Fame!

When it's just the two of you, taking pictures can be a challenge...

The pier and the pier light!

Sam and I at the pier light!

Sam and I at the Beach!
What fun! Sam and I got to take a date yesterday! We went all the way to Michigan City, Indiana. I have a love of lighthouses, and I really wanted to see the only lighthouse in the state of Indiana! I finally got to see it! We drove... and drove... and drove... took a detour to a cemetery, (I know we are a little strange lol), and drove and drove some more. When we got there we went to the beach and got to see the pier light. We had lunch then toured the lighthouse itself. After another side trip to Mt. Baldy, this huge sand dune, we headed back to the beach and I waded (just a little, the water was freezing) and we watched a wind surfer. Then it was back in the car and headed home again! We got back around 9 something at night. It was a very special date!!!

Summer has begun!

Shew.... Kindergarten Graduation is over.... HS and College Graduation is over.... Campmeeting is over.... now, I have said Goodbye to some of my best friends who are leaving for the summer. Summer for me this year is sounding rather boring, yet it is filling up at the same time. Thank the Lord, I was given more hours at work, but at the same time, it is restricting my ability to have fun :) Oh the joys of adulthood. I have a list that I want to accomplish here at the house, we shall see :) and I have to prepare for my classes next semester. Even tho I have taught both of my college classes before, I am making drastic changes to one, and a few changes to another. It will be fun! I hopefully will get to see one of my best friends from college when she is up from Texas visiting her family this summer as well! Maybe my sister will come visit... maybe I'll have a fun summer after all :) Oh... and I get to plan a yard sale too, so I need to go through stuff quickly! Well, so much for my rambling... I'll hopefully have some pictures to post soon. Have a wonderful start to summer!!!

Goodness... It's been awhile since I've posted. It's been a crazy few months. We had a wonderful Easter program with some wonderful actors. Then it was off to IHC. While my family was at IHC on Wednesday, we received a phone call that one of my aunts had passed away. It was a bit of a shock to our family, and started us on a busy trail. Consequently our days have been very stressed and busy since. But now that we are back to 'normal' we are starting to finish up our school year. The Spring picnic was this week, and we also have our end of the school year recital on Thursday night. We are starting to prepare for kindergarten graduation in the upcoming weeks. Our School year is almost over. I'm still waiting to discover exactly what I am going to be doing next year. YAY
